Hi, everybody!! I made a card earlier that I just wasn't feeling, but I really like the way this one turned out! I am so glad that I decided to give it another shot! At my day job, aka the one that pays the bills, we have one of our co-workers that is going off to college. She hasn't worked with us for long, but we've become pretty attached to her & will miss her! I made this card to go with the gift that our group got her.
This is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and when I first saw the sketch, I was REALLY not feeling the MOJO at all! I do not like doing little banners because I don't have a die, so I have to free hand them & I always think they look crooked or off in some kind of way or another. I have this die on my soon to get wish list from My Favorite Things. One of my favorite paper pads from this summer has been Summer Fresh by Simple Stories. There was that cute little banner (under the owl) that all I had to do was cut it out! I didn't really know how I was going to pull off the 3 tiny banners, but then I saw these ticket stubs & fell in love! I hope you like it!
The lil' owl is a SU! punch that I bought because I bought the Punch Bunch stamp set from Sale A Bration that had this cute lil' owl in it & I just knew that I would regret it if I didn't get the coordinating punch. Fast forward, I have never used the stamp set, but I use this lil' punch as much as I can! I love it that you can make an owl for any occasion! The sentiment is something that I just typed up & printed out & then I made the YOU on the ticket stub banner with some rub-ons from my stash! (BTW, I talk about my STASH a lot... the stash is a bunch of stuff that I don't know the manufacturer of & more than likely I picked up at a yard sale).

ReplyDeleteThis card is just TOO cute! I love how you used the 3 ribbons at the bottom right for letters to spell out y-o-u. Awesome choice of patterns, colors, & textures, too!
